Basics

The ePad is only supported on Windows.
Unplug the ePad and plug it back in.
Try restarting your machine.
Check that the ePad software is installed.
Check that Java is installed.


Troubleshooting

1.    There are no Mac drivers from the manufacturer.  If possible, install this on a Windows machine.


2.    If the ePad is not working, try restarting your computer.


3.    Make sure the ePad is plugged in.  

        It should light up when it is first plugged in.  

        If not try another working USB port.

       

4.    Run the ePad tester (Bottom of the main deal screen in eF&I).

            Click Sign on the dialogue that appears.

            Then follow the prompts on the ePad    

       Run the Java tester (Right next to the ePad tester).  

            In the dialogue that appears the text should be in a green background.

If either the Java or ePad Tester fails please continue to the next step.


5.    Check that the ePad and/or the Java software is installed.  

            From your desktop hold the Windows key and hit Q.

            Type Control Panel.

            Change the "View by" to Category (top right).

            Click Uninstall a Program (bottom left).

            Click the Name header twice to alphabetize the list (near the top left).

            Verify the following are listed:

            "ePadLink ePad XX.X.XXXXX" (if found, then the ePad is installed).

                 "IntegriSign Desktop XX.X XXXXX" (if found, then the Interface is installed).

                 "Java X Update XX" (this is the installed 32 bit version which is required).

                 "Java X Update XXX (64-bit)" (this not required but ok if is installed).


6.     What if the ePad and/or Java software hasn't been installed?    

            On the main Deal screen in eF&I.          

            Click on the 2 overlapping white rectangles near the top left of the main deal screen in eF&I.      

            Click on downloads.

            If Java wasn't installed:

                Click on "Java Runtime Environment Setup" and run it.    

            If the ePad wasn't installed:

                Click on "ePadLink Universal Installer" and run it.  

                Click on "Integrisgn Desktop" and run it.

                Click on "eF&I Setup" and run that.


7.     After installation, run the Java and/or the ePad tester again.

        If either the Java or the ePad tester fails, restart your computer.

        Re-run both testers.  If either fails, please call us at 800 284-8469.
